Yves Gellie, a videographer and photographer, began his career in photojournalism with a feature on cocaine production in Colombia. His work has been published by numerous magazines and newspapers and in 1987 he won a World Press Photo Award. He then developed a style of photographic writing which was between documentary and contemporary art. His approach has been described as an iconographic selection of the reality underlying the day to-day life and its trivial aspects. His work has been exhibited in various contemporary art museums, galleries, and institutions across the world. His last movie "The Year of the Robot " produced in 2020, received 17 international awards.
