Car racing, 24-hour Le Mans race, 1933. British driver Sammy Davis in his Aston Martin -car 24- finished seventh with his British team-mate A.C. Bertelli. The Franco-Italian team, Raymond Sommer and Tazio Nuvolari in an Alfa Romeo won the race on 18 June 1933.

An exceptional duel for 2nd and 3rd place between car 8 driven by the Italian team, Luigi Chinetti and Philippe Varent de Gunsburg in an Alfa Romeo 8 C2300, who finished second, and car 12 driven by the British team, Brian E. Lewis and Tim Rose Richards in an identical Alfa Romeo 8 C2300, who finished third. That year, the Franco-Italian team, Raymond Sommer and Tazio Nuvolari in an Alfa Romeo, won the race on June 18th.
